Our team is comprised of highly experienced, credible individuals, at the strategic leadership (Board of Directors), management, and operational levels, as well as specialist ICT experts who can be relied on to deliver individual and corporate services. 

Bridge Institute of Information Technology (BIT) is a unique and modern knowledge based institution established in 2019, to spur social and economic development through revolutionized access and use of ICT. Based in Fort Portal Tourism City, BIT serves the Ruwenzori sub-region, and beyond. The institute’s priority is to offer practical expertise and equip learners with tools for the application of ICT in every aspect of the day-to-day living of an individual, organization, and society. BIT aims to design products that will target essential service sectors like health, housing, feeding, education, transportation, economic livelihood/employment as well as entertainment.

BIT is a one-stop canter for ICT skills-building, business solutions, equipment supplies, data management needs, and basic leadership training. We train in IT specialties from basic to advanced practical software and hardware management applications. We build all forms of software solutions and deploy/install both basic and complex hardware technologies for automation, business intelligence, clientele management, prediction, monitoring/security, and evaluation. BIT also offers consultancy and advisory services in strategic Management for public and private organizations.  

To invest sufficient institutional and technical ICT capacity that meets the demands of the population, including school going students, post-school interested trainees, working professionals, local governments, and business enterprises by June 2021-2026.

To promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and human capital development by offering informatics skills, consultancy, and related business solutions in Uganda, Eastern Africa and beyond.

  • To establish an ICT business Incubation and Innovation Hub, that provides relevant solutions to emerging social, economic, and environmental challenges by 2025.
  • To design and deploy an aggressive business development/marketing model that permeates all potential clients to take up partnerships, services, and products of BIIT by 2024.
  • To build/secure permanent physical premises that provide a secure and conducive skills-building environment by 2026.
  • To make BIIT the best ICT Center of excellence and a provider of any institutional hardware and software requirements in the region by 2030.
